The issue of euthanasia is always controversial. Should a person that is terminally ill be permitted to take their own life? Does knowing that death is an available option make dealing with a declining quality of life easier? Why do some nurses and doctors try to talk patients and their families out of implementing a “Do Not Resuscitate” order? Who gets to decide when it’s time to “pull the plug” when a person is in a coma and the family is divided on the issue?
